Sorry it's taken me so long to get another postcard out. My Internet access here in Italy is a little unpredictable... but none the less, here I am.

It feels like Capeside is about a million trillion miles away. Especially since I've spent this past week in Venice. Everything I've ever read about this place is true. It is beautiful...magical. Oh- and Jen, that Jeanette Wintersen book you gave me is so evocative of everything here. Even though it's set in another time period, in some parts of Venice, it feels like things haven't changed here all that much.

Aunt Georgia and I went for a gondola ride (though I must say, Aunt Georgia's not exactly whom I'd envisioned a gondola ride with). Actually, I was wishing my Italian was better so that I would have had more to say to the adorable gondolier. Tragically, he and I pretty much left it at "Bonjourno" and "Ciao." I even heard him serenading another boat... but I guess Aunt Georgia and I didn't look like we needed mood music. Sigh.

If I don't make it home for graduation...it's because I've taken off with a beautiful venetian man. More soon, I promise!
